BIO
Bishop Demetrius D. Griffin is a man that defines himself as a servant no more no less.
Bishop Griffin was called into the Ministry by God since December 11, 2005 and has been striving to please God since the day he began serving. Blessed under the wings of his parents, Bishop Frederick and Evangelist Cynthia Kirkland, he received his training.
He served as a Youth Minister & Director for five years with his wife, Elect Lady Tabitha Griffin. Bishop Demetrius Griffin faithfully impacted the youth through Bible Study, Vacation Bible School, and other multiple events. Those events included programs like “Hallelujah Night” and “Let's Talk about It”. Griffin understands and teaches the people of God that we can do all things through Christ which strengthens us. Pastor Griffins accredits his wife and kids for his drive for ministry they are his biggest critics and his biggest fans.
Griffin now brings that same strength and tenacity to Hatchett Springs Baptist Church as he leads Gods people with the Word of God. Bishop Griffin’s educational training comes from Samford University where he received certificates for biblical courses and Central Alabama Community College where he received associates degree in Occupational Technology. More importantly, Bishop Griffin is currently attending Faulkner University where he is majoring in Biblical Studies and minor in counseling. Bishop Griffin was consecrated a Bishop in the Lord’s Church on October 21, 2017 in Marietta, Georgia by Chief Apostle/Presiding Bishop Michael L. Favors.
MARRIAGE
Bishop Demetrius Griffin is married to the lovely Elect lady Tabitha Griffin. They have been married for 16 years and through this union they have 3 children, Dantaviis D. Griffin, Talia S. Griffin and Daniel J. Griffin.
FAMILY
Bishop Griffin is a family man and everything he does through ministry is centered on family in some aspect or another.
MINISTRY
H.S.B.C. is a place that believes in equipping the people of God with the word of God for the work of God for the purpose of activating a Christ like community.
Bishop Griffin is a part of Peace Ministry Fellowship as well. Peace is a Christian Ecumenical Fellowship that embraces Churches, Ministries, Pastors and Leaders who accept, believe and acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
COMMUNITY
Bishop Griffin has orchestrated and founded several events in the Goodwater, AL community such as Breaking the Barrier, Hatch is giving back and Hallelujah Night. All events are Christ centered and are steered towards helping and empowering families.
